Mundorf MConnect Thermoplastic Polymer Housings (Red & Black Pair)
These high-quality thermoplastic polymer housings are designed specifically for the Mundorf MCONBP banana plug series. Featuring a smart hinged clamshell design, they provide both essential electrical insulation and clear channel polarity identification for your speaker connections. Note: banana plugs are NOT included.
The housing allows for a snug, secure fit around the banana plug. Once snapped closed, the design facilitates stackable connections, allowing a second 4 mm banana plug to be inserted into the rear of the assembly. While the standard cable entry is optimised for 2.5 mm cables, the housing can accommodate speaker cables up to 4 mm in diameter by omitting the integrated strain relief or the rear cover flap if necessary.
Key Features & Applications:
- Clear Polarity Marking: Supplied as one red and one black housing for instant identification of positive and negative channels.
- Stackable Design: The rear-entry port is designed to accept a secondary 4 mm banana plug, enabling daisy-chained or bi-wiring setups.
- Secure Snap-Fit: Robust hinged flap snaps firmly shut, locking the cable and banana plug into a protected assembly.
- Versatile Cable Fit: Designed for cables up to 2.5 mm diameter with strain relief; can be adapted for larger 4 mm cables if required.

Usage & Assembly Tips:
- Initial Setup: Ensure the banana plug is already soldered to your cable and the joint has cooled completely before installing the housing.
- Threading: Feed your speaker wire through the rear circular cable port on the housing's hinged flap.
- Snap & Lock: Place the soldered plug body into the main housing cavity, swing the hinged flap shut, and press until the locking tab snaps into place.
- For Larger Cables: If using cables larger than 2.5 mm, you may gently remove the internal strain relief tabs or operate the housing without the rear flap to accommodate conductors up to 4 mm.
