Description:

A compact, high-quality mono amplifier module consisting of a pre-amplifier, a power amplifier and a mains supply unit, suitable for hi-fi applications and for PA in small rooms. Its compact size and mounting brackets mean it can be fixed directly to a speaker cabinet, turning a passive speaker into an active one. Just mount the module on the rear of the speaker cabinet and connect its speaker cable to the speaker's input terminals. It is also very well suited as a measuring amplifier for acoustic analysers.

Mounting and Installation:

• Mounting: Fix the amplifier with its mounting brackets, for example to the rear of a speaker cabinet next to the terminals.
• Cooling: The amplifier is cooled by air flowing through the cooling fins on the rear and the vents in the case. Allow air to flow freely, never cover the vents, and do not mount it inside a closed enclosure.
• Signal Source: Connect a line level source, such as a CD player, mixer output or the line output of a computer, to the XLR input for balanced signals or the RCA inputs for unbalanced signals.
• Speaker: Connect the amplifier's speaker cable to a 4-8 Ohm speaker, red to positive and black to negative. If you connect more than one speaker, make sure the total impedance does not fall below 4 Ohm.
• Stereo: This is a mono amplifier, so for a stereo system use one amplifier per speaker.
• Power: Connect the mains cable to the IEC socket and plug it into a mains socket.

Operating Tips:

• Set the level control to minimum before you switch on.
• To avoid switching noise, switch the amplifier on after the connected equipment, and switch it off first after use.
• Do not turn the level up so far that the sound distorts.
• Avoid very high volumes, which can damage your hearing over time.
