Continental and VDO Car and Truck Radio Removal Keys

Essential Tool for Safe and Damage-Free Radio Extraction
This replacement set of radio removal keys is designed for quick, effortless extraction of Continental and VDO head units installed in cars, trucks, buses, and commercial vehicles. Ideal if your original extraction tools have been lost or misplaced, these keys allow you to safely disengage the internal locking clips and slide the head unit out of the dash without scratching the fascia or damaging surrounding trim.

    Key Features & Benefits:

    • Safe Extraction: Unlocks the head unit retaining mechanism cleanly without forcing or damaging the radio or dash panel.
    • Durable Steel Construction: Steel keys resist bending during removal.
    • Simple Operation: Designed with convenient finger grips for maximum grip and leverage while pulling the unit free.
    • Essential Workshop Tool: A must-have item for vehicle owners, auto electricians, and audio installers working on commercial or heavy vehicle audio systems.

    Radio & Head Unit Compatibility:
Compatible with a wide variety of 12V and 24V Continental and VDO radio models, including:

    • Popular Continental & VDO Models: TR7412, TRD7412, CD7416, CDD7418, TR712, CD716, TRDW312, TRW312, and CDD718.
    • Other Models: May also suit additional Continental and VDO radios. Check your radio's manual for more details.

    How to Use:
    1. Remove any trim rings or covers around the outside of the radio to expose the removal key slots.
    2. Align the keys with the removal slots located on the left and right sides of the radio front panel.
    3. Slide the keys into the slots until you feel them click and engage with the internal spring latches.
    4. Apply gentle outward tension on the finger loops and pull the radio unit straight out of the mounting sleeve.
    5. Press the spring clips on each side to release the pressure and slide the keys out of the unit.
