OBD-II Connector Plug - Model OBDCON
The OBDCON connector plug allows you to custom-wire your own devices, telematics trackers, data loggers, or CAN Bus interfaces (such as the CB1OBD and CB2OBD) to plug directly into a vehicle OBD-II (On-Board Diagnostics, also known as DLC - Data Link Connector) socket. Building your own plug-and-play adapter loom provides a secure connection while allowing accessories to be quickly disconnected and refitted whenever the vehicle undergoes dealership servicing or diagnostic scans.
Features:
- Constructed from high-strength, heat-resistant moulded plastic for reliable long-term durability.
- Includes an integrated metal locking lever and strain relief clamp to secure cables firmly in place.
- Enables clean, non-destructive connection to the vehicle DLC port without cutting or splicing factory wiring.
- Supplied complete with 4 crimp terminal pins, with optional 10-pin expansion packs available for complex multi-pin wiring setups.
- Ideal for CAN Bus analysis, custom vehicle logging, fleet management, taximeters, and aftermarket accessory installations.
Installation Details:
- Determine the required pin layout for your application (for standard CAN Bus interfaces: Pin 4 or 5 for Ground, Pin 6 for CAN High, Pin 14 for CAN Low, and Pin 16 for +12V Power).
- Strip approximately 3 mm to 4 mm of insulation from the end of each wire conductor.
- Crimp or carefully solder the wire leads onto the supplied terminal pins, ensuring no excess solder interferes with the retaining tab.
- Push each terminal pin firmly into the rear of the connector housing until it clicks securely into the designated pin slot.
- Assemble the outer housing shells and tighten the metal strain relief locking clamp over the wiring harness.

Important Notes:
Always verify the pin configuration of both your aftermarket device and the vehicle OBD-II socket prior to connecting power. Take care when inserting crimp pins into the housing to ensure correct orientation and pin alignment. Connecting power or signal leads to incorrect OBD-II pins may cause damage to the connected modules or vehicle electrical system.
