Many vehicles around today utilise CANBUS (also known as CAN; CAN - BUS; CAN BUS; C - BUS) to transmit the specific data and conditions between devices. This has rendered traditional signal-carrying wires obsolete. This has a downside in that many aftermarket devices cannot interface with the CANBUS data, such as navigation systems. Output signals are provided for vehicle speed, engine speed (RPM), illumination, reverse gear and handbrake; depending on the vehicle, please ask to confirm.

This CANBUS signal translator is designed to provide standard signal outputs for vehicles with a CAN - BUS system. It is programmed to automatically detect the vehicle type from over 40 different makes covering 350+ models. Note that just because a vehicle has a CANBUS system, it does not necessarily mean that that CANBUS carries the appropriate signal information. Simply connect and go, no complicated programming required!

Installation Details:

• Connect constant +12V power (pin 6) via a 1A inline fuse and a solid chassis ground (pin 1).
• Connect CAN High (pin 2) and CAN Low (pin 7) directly to the vehicle network wires. Solder and insulate all connections securely; do not cut factory wiring.
• Verify operation using the built-in diagnostic LEDs to confirm valid CAN network traffic and module synchronization.
• Output 6 (Grey wire) provides an ignition feed output (maximum 2A fuse required). For inverse ignition requirements, connect via a relay with a coil resistance of at least 60 Ohms.

• Reverse Signal: 12V = Reverse; 0V = Forward
• Handbrake Signal: 12V = Off; 0V = On
• Ignition feed: 2A max output when ignition is on
