CB6 Multi - Signal CAN BUS Interface

The CB6 is a versatile multi-output CAN BUS interface designed to extract up to six discrete signal outputs directly from a vehicle's digital network. Engineered for navigation systems, taximeters, cruise control, fleet management, parking sensors, motability, and speed limiters, this unit automatically detects vehicle protocols upon power-up without requiring manual configuration or programming. It provides dedicated outputs for vehicle speed pulse, engine speed (RPM), illumination, handbrake, reverse gear, and ignition feed.

Signal Output Specifications - Note not all outputs are available for all vehicles:

• Vehicle Speed Pulse: Approx. 3600 pulses per mile / 5796 pulses per km
• Engine Speed / RPM: 2 pulses per revolution
• Illumination / Low Beam: 12V On / 0V Off
• Handbrake: 0V On / 12V Off
• Ignition Feed: Inverse signal, 12V when ignition off, 0V when ignition on (relay required)
• Reverse Gear: 12V Reverse / 0V Forward

Important Installation & Safety Warnings:

1. The CAN BUS uses two wires for data transmission (CAN High and CAN Low). Connect to appropriate CAN BUS lines using insulated solder joints. Do not cut factory CAN BUS wires.
2. Connect power (+12V) via a clean, ignition-controlled regulated supply with an inline 1A fuse (not included). A solid chassis earth point is essential.
3. The ignition output on the CB6 is inverse (12V when ignition is off, 0V when ignition is on). To control ignition-switched accessories, connect a standard 12V automotive relay (coil impedance of 60 Ohms or greater) between a constant 12V supply and the CB6 ignition output lead.
4. Disconnect the interface prior to carrying out vehicle OBDII diagnostic scans to prevent communication conflicts or damage.
