Description:

The BrownDog 041103 SC70 to 6-pin DIP adapter converts surface mount components in the SC70 package with 6, 5 or 3 pins to a 6-pin DIP footprint. It features direct pin-to-pin correspondence and can be used with solderless breadboards, sockets or 6-pin DIP land patterns.

Before You Order:

• This is an adapter board only. The surface mount device is not included.
• You will need to solder the device to the board, which requires some skill with surface mount parts.
• Check that your device's package suits the SC70 land pattern (0.65mm pitch) before ordering.

Installation Tips:

• Each SC70 pad maps to the equivalent 6-pin DIP pin, so check your device's pinout against the DIP pin numbering before soldering.
• Match pin 1 of your device to pin 1 of the adapter.
• Excess solder can block the pin holes, so it is easiest to fit the pins first.
• Use anti-static precautions when handling sensitive devices.
