Speakers

Speakers for public address (PA) and DJ use come in two general types, either 100V or 4-8 Ohms. the 4 or 8 Ohms versions are similar to domestic systems and usually only a few speakers are connected together over a relatively small distance. These can also be used often with domestic equipment. The standard 4-8 Ohm configuration are great for smaller set-ups and especially for parties and DJ systems.

100V speakers are especially designed for 100V amplifiers and have a transformers already connected to allow matching. These are more suitable for larger areas and cable runs over longer distances. These are more suitable for public address situations like shopping centres, museums, exhibitions, transport, nightclubs, art galleries and more.
