The RetroSound replacement rear mount manual AM / FM aerial is an OE quality replacement engineered specifically for 1961 - 1962 Chevrolet Impala models (also fitting Bel Air and Biscayne rear mount applications). Built with a chrome plated brass mast for exceptional weather resistance and an improved ground plane for enhanced AM / FM signal reception, this aerial maintains classic period correct styling. Complete with heavy duty all metal mounting hardware and custom vehicle specific gaskets, it is available for Left-Hand Side (LH), Right-Hand Side (RH), or as a Dual Rear package for twin aerials.

Available Configurations:

• Mast Style Options: Select between a Semi-Collapsible Mast (can be manually retracted down for vehicle covers or low clearance storage) or a Fixed Mast (single-piece rigid design).
• Left Side (LH): Part No. SC65-ZB65-CC57-20-L (Semi-Collapsible) or Part No. SC65-ZB65-FMC1-20-L (Fixed Mast variant), one cable supplied.
• Right Side (RH): Part No. SC65-ZB65-CC57-20-R (Semi-Collapsible) or Part No. SC65-ZB65-FMC1-20-R (Fixed Mast variant), one cable supplied.
• Both Sides ("Dual Rear Package"): Part No. SC65-ZB65-CC57-20-B (Semi-Collapsible) or Part No. SC65-ZB65-FMC1-20-B (Fixed Mast variant). Includes both Left and Right aerial assemblies for a classic twin rear mount appearance, one cable supplied.

Installation & Fitment Warnings (Please Read Before Ordering & Installation):

• Dual Aerial Wiring Warning (Connect ONE Only): If purchasing both Left and Right aerials for a twin rear mount installation, connect ONLY ONE aerial cable to your radio head unit. Connecting two passive AM / FM aerial cables into a single tuner input (even via a splitter cable) causes RF phase cancellation, severely degrading or eliminating radio reception. The secondary aerial should be installed as a visual "dummy" unit.
• Vehicle Fitment Verification: Body profiles, factory hole cut-outs, and previous vehicle repairs can vary. Always inspect your vehicle's rear fender mounting location, inner boot clearance, and existing mounting hole dimensions prior to ordering and fitting.
• Cable Routing Safety: Route the antenna cable cleanly through the vehicle cabin, taking care to avoid sharp metal edges, boot hinge mechanisms, and heavy vehicle wiring looms to prevent interference or physical cable damage.
