The Visaton LC 95 is a heavy-duty, high-power 8 Ohm loudspeaker level control (L-pad) engineered
for professional high-output speaker systems, PA cabinets, and custom multi-way hi-fi builds. Rated for 100 Watts continuous
power handling, it features an integrated black metal rear housing that acts as a heat sink to effectively dissipate heat
during prolonged high-volume operation. The faceplate features a high-contrast dial scale calibrated directly in decibels
(dB) for precise, repeatable attenuation.

What Is It Used For?
In multi-way speaker designs, high-frequency tweeters and midrange drivers are
frequently much more sensitive (louder) than the bass woofer. The LC 95 is used to trim or balance the volume output of
those higher-frequency drivers relative to the rest of the system. Unlike standard volume potentiometers, a true L-pad attenuator
maintains a constant 8 Ohm load impedance as seen by the crossover network and amplifier across its entire adjustment range.
This ensures that adjusting driver volume does not alter the crossover cutoff frequency or shift your crossover points.
How to Connect and Install It
• Mounting: Cut a standard 74 mm circular opening
in your speaker cabinet or connection panel. Insert the control from the front and secure it using the supplied faceplate
and mounting hardware.
• Circuit Placement: Always wire the LC 95 after the passive crossover
circuit and directly before the specific driver (tweeter or midrange) you wish to attenuate. Do not wire it directly
to raw amplifier outputs without a crossover in place.
• Wiring Connections: The rear of the unit features
three solder terminals/tags. Connect the positive (+) and negative (-) outputs coming from your crossover network to the
input terminals, and connect the output terminals directly to your driver's voice coil terminals (refer to the terminal
marking diagram included with the unit for exact pin identification).
