Characteristics and Sound Properties

This 16.5 cm (6.5") woofer  is ideal for a range of applications. It has a black fibreglass membrane, metal basket and robust rubber surround giving it superior performance in extreme environmental conditions whether they be hot or cold. The bass output of this speaker makes it an ideal component for your outdoor system. *) IP protection class for front side when built into a sealed enclosure.

The design allows the maximum stroke and allows for a small installation space, with enormous sound pressure levels you will not need to fear a sudden limitation. This makes the W 165 A - 2 Ohm the perfect solution, especially when it comes to being robust.

Often suitable as a replacement for the factory fitted Audi SQ5 exhaust woofer / sound actuator, the A6, A7, SQ7 and SQ8; plus similar systems fitted to Golf GTD, Kodiaq RS, Porsche. Works very well with the existing housing and factory amplifier though there may be variations from vehicle to vehicle and professional installation is recommend as with all car audio products. Ensure compatibility and check the sizing first as there is no exact published compatibility lists.
