Description

This sealing gasket from Visaton is made for the watertight mounting of the FR 8 WP range of 8 cm (3.3 inch) waterproof full-range speakers. Fitted between the speaker and the mounting surface, it helps stop water working its way in along the edges of the speaker, giving you a cleaner and better protected installation in outdoor, marine and damp locations.

Installation Notes:

• Mount the gasket on a clean, flat and smooth surface so it can seal evenly all the way around.
• Tighten the fixings evenly so the gasket is compressed uniformly. Do not over-tighten.
• The FR 8 WP is rated IP65 on the front side when it is built into a sealed enclosure. The gasket seals the mounting surface, so also make sure the rear of the speaker and the cable entry are protected from water.

Using With Other Speakers:

This gasket is designed for the FR 8 WP. Other speakers with a matching mounting footprint may be able to use it, but fit has not been confirmed for other models. The gasket seals the mounting surface only and does not make a non-waterproof speaker weatherproof. If in any doubt, please check with us.
