Subaru Liberty McIntosh 8 Inch Subwoofer - Visaton W 200 - 4 Ohm Woofer - Check Fitment First!
Art. No. 9064
Characteristics and Sound Properties
20 cm (8") woofer with very good price/performance ratio. Suitable
for 2-way speakers and car rear tray systems.
Subaru Compatibility Notice
This woofer is frequently used as a direct replacement for the factory-fitted
Subaru 8-inch subwoofer found in various vehicles equipped with the premium McIntosh sound system, such as select Subaru
Liberty models. While it is designed to run efficiently off the existing factory amplifier, exact mounting and wiring configurations
can vary from vehicle to vehicle depending on the model year, factory trim level, and country of manufacture.
Before You Order: Check That The Subwoofer Will Fit Your Vehicle!
Because Subaru used different parcel
shelf and enclosure configurations across different generations, we do not have an exact, comprehensive list of every compatible
model year. To ensure a proper fit, you must physically measure your original factory speaker opening, depth, and screw
hole spacing, then verify them against the technical dimensions and images shown. Modifications to the factory mounting
bracket or plug adapters may be required, and professional installation is highly recommended.
Sedan and Wagon Fitment Notes
Sedan Models: The factory subwoofer is typically located
on the rear parcel shelf. The Visaton W 200 generally fits well in this location, though minor modifications like drilling
new mounting holes into the factory bracket may be required.
Wagon / Outback Models: The factory subwoofer
is usually housed inside a compact, molded plastic enclosure hidden in the side panel of the rear cargo area. Because depth
inside this enclosure is extremely tight, you must physically check your available mounting depth before ordering, as a
custom spacer ring (not supplied) may be required to prevent the magnet from hitting the back wall.
Possible Factory McIntosh Applications (This is a Rough Guide Only, Variations are Likely to Exist, you MUST
Still Check the Fitment!)
In the Australian market, the premium factory McIntosh sound system was typically
fitted as standard or a premium option in the following high-spec models:
• Subaru Liberty Gen 3 (approx. 2001–2003):
B4 Twin Turbo and luxury variants.
• Subaru Liberty Gen 4 (approx. 2004–2009): 3.0R, 3.0R Spec B, GT,
GT Spec B, and Premium packs.
• Subaru Outback Gen 3 (approx. 2004–2009): 3.0R and premium models equipped
with the factory McIntosh option.
