Important Compatibility Exclusion Note:
This shaft is NOT compatible with early original RetroSound Model 1 radio bodies (different connector) or Redondo RT thumbwheel models. Please check your head unit model prior to ordering.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide:
1. Disconnect the radio power and carefully access the rear of the dashboard to locate the radio chassis.
2. Unplug the small multi-pin wiring connector linking the original control shaft to the main radio body.
3. Remove the retaining nut and washers from the front of the shaft, then loosen the InfiniMount bracket nuts to free the original shaft.
4. Position the new 258A replacement shaft onto the bracket, aligning its position with your dashboard knob aperture, and secure the mounting hardware, do not over-tighten!
5. Plug the wiring connector firmly into the side socket of the radio chassis, test rotation and push-button operation, and refit your front control knobs.
6. Ensure the rear backstrap of the radio is adjusted correctly to support the weight and not allow strain on the control shafts.
