      Why Phantom Power is Essential:
      Many modern European and late-model vehicles (such as Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Peugeot, and others) use an active, amplified aerial powered via the original factory radio. When replacing the factory stereo with an aftermarket unit, this power source is lost. Without a phantom power supply adapter, the factory aerial amplifier remains off, resulting in extremely weak, static-filled AM/FM radio reception. Connecting the blue lead to your aftermarket head unit's +12V power antenna trigger restores full power to the factory amplifier for maximum reception quality.
