In some vehicles, the ignition and permanent power cables are reversed. This adaptor allows them to be easily swapped over, making it easy to plug in a replacement radio without cutting or soldering wires.
Can also be used as a short extension cable for when an existing lead is slightly too short. In this use, connect the wires straight-through.
