    DACT CT3 Audio Selector Switches

Very compact audio selector switches that switch between 3, 5 or 6 sources (depending on model). All contacts and connections are gold plated for long life even in the most challenging environments. Same basic construction and size as the DACT CT2 audio attenuators and CT4 balance controls. Can be used in all sorts of applications, projects, upgrades or manufacturing. Switch audio signals or other types of signals with this high precision, quality multi-position rotary switch.

DACT CT3 wire eyelets connections for wire.  DACT CT3 PCB pin connections.
DACT CT3 wire eyelets and pin connections.

    Available Versions:

    • CT3-6-2/wire
      • 2-pole switch.
      • Solder eyelets for wire connections.
      • 6 positions.
      • Non-shorting.
      • Switches up to 2 non-balanced channels, signal only
    • CT3-3-4/wire
      • 4-pole switch.
      • Solder eyelets for wire connections.
      • 3 positions.
      • Non-shorting.
      • Switches up to either:
        • 2 non-balanced channels with signal and ground simultaneously, or
        • 4 non-balanced channels, signal only, or
        • 2 balanced channels, + and - signal only (excl. ground)

    Technical:

CT3 is a high quality Audio Selector Switch. It is based on the same high precision, Swiss made switching mechanism as the DACT CT2 audio attenuators. CT3 is a non-shorting type of switch making sure neither of the input sources will be short-circuiting each other when the switch is operated.

    Features:

    • Gold plated contacts for long lifetime even in hot and humid environments
    • High reliability
    • Matches perfectly with DACT CT2 audio attenuators
    • Mechanically 'programmable' for 1 to 3 or 5 or 6 positions depending on version

    Typical Applications:

    • Input selector in Do-It-Yourself Hi-fi / audio projects
    • Input selector switch in active or passive pre-amplifiers
    • Selector switch in professional audio equipment
    • Switch for long lifetime applications
    • Test equipment selector switch

    ANTISTATIC CHARGES

To avoid noises from antistatic charges we suggest that one of the following two precautions is taken:

    • The DACT CT3 is mounted with electrical connection between its click-house and the equipment chassis.
    • A 1 MOhm resistor is connected between the CT3 click-house and equipment ground.
