IC Socket 8 Pin

Many units which use IC sockets often have very cheap "spring" type IC sockets that can be unreliable. Even if your unit has no sockets, many upgraders prefer to fit sockets to enable experimentation with various op-amp types for different tonal qualities of the sound. These Swiss-made precision 8-pin DIP sockets with machined gold plated 'tulip' grip contacts prevent capillary action with solder and flux on PCB's. They also feature an open frame construction which maximises heat dissipation.
