These cables carry the actual radio signal from the aerial back to the radio. Minimum loss is important as the radio can only work with what it receives. Mmade from high quality coaxial cable, resulting in minimum signal loss. Longer cables are specially modified to make it appear "shorter" to the radio. They incorporate the standard Hirschmann screw type connection for the aerial end, plus the normal pin type connection for the radio. |
