With smooth drive cable. Over time, the telescopic section of your aerial may wear our, resulting in either it not going up the whole way or poor radio reception. Also trees, vandalism or accidents may bend the telescope making it hard for it to retract properly. Virtually all Hirschmann telescopes are user replaceable. With only a spanner, you can remove the faulty telescope and fit a new one! Instructions are included with the telescopes on exactly how to do this for each particular model. Note that the Type 02 is fully chrome colour but it can also be used to replace versions in black or with black caps.
