The Eichmann Topper

A resonance control device that improves the performance of audio and video components. Australian inventor Keith-Louis Eichmann discovered a cost-effective way to reduce resonances and vibrations and hence improve the performance of audio & video components and even loudspeakers. He has optimised the Toppers to help control standing wave resonances from forming. The Topper's shape effectively disperses and distributes resonances away from the affected area, which in turn prevents the formation standing wave resonances.

The Topper - a unique invention that controls resonance on the surface of components and speakers. Internal resonance together with external sound waves can adversely affect low-level signals running through sensitive capacitors, resistors, transistors or valves within a hifi component.

Your loudspeaker system may also suffer from vibration due to mechanical energy from the drivers and sound pressure waves within the enclosure itself. A consequence of resonance is often masking of detail, colouration, smearing of the sound and a reduced sound stage. The Topper can control these resonances by preventing the accumulation of standing waves, attenuating standing waves and disrupting the transference of resonance to areas that may be adversely affected.

The result is:

Applications

Audio and video components including CD / DVD / SACD Players, digital analog converters (DACs) and processors, amplifiers, tuners, loudspeakers and more! The Topper will also attenuate resonance on the surface of furniture and windowpanes within the listening environment if they are a problem.

Installation

Components:

Position three Toppers on the top surface of components - ideally with each Topper directly above:

• The transformer and power supply.
• Transport system of a CD / SACD / DVD Player.
• Any other area prone to vibration.

Speakers:

Position three Toppers - parallel and slightly apart on the top of a speaker, close to the front baffle (logo facing out).

Note: For furniture items, glass windows or the side of speakers use thin double-sided tape for easy attachment.
