Please enter the vehicle details above and we will email you the connection points where available when the order is processed. Many of the vehicles today utilise CANBUS (also known as CAN; CAN-BUS; CAN BUS; C-BUS) to transmit the specific data and conditions between devices. It is designed to aid fitting of after-market parking sensors or other systems by providing commonly required signals. Simply connect and go, no complicated programming required. This interface provides a solution to the problem of de-activating / activating front parking sensors when a vehicle is being driven above / below a set speed (approx. 6 mph - 9.6 km/h). It also provides a reverse signal output for rear parking sensors. The Parking Interface is compatible with 40 vehicle manufactures covering 250+ different models. Features built-in diagnostic LEDs to indicate CAN Bus status. The output on the interface is negative switching (0V or ground), by this we mean below 6mph / 9.6km/h the negative is present (the circuit is complete) and above 6mph / 9.6km/h the negative is disengaged or taken away (the circuit is broken). It does not switch between 0V and 12V. Applications:

Details:The CBPI Parking Interface features built-in diagnostic LEDs to indicate the CAN Bus status. After power-up:
Please note: If LEDs do not follow the above sequence it is still advisable to drive the vehicle to see if a speed switch signal is still actually being produced. It is possible that some vehicles will perform in a different manner. ![]() CANBUS parking sensor interface connections. Installation and Notes:The CANBUS uses two wires for data transmission. One is called CAN HIGH and the other is called CAN LOW (sometimes marked as "CAN+" and "CAN-" respectively). The CANBUS connections on the CANBUS interface should be connected to the appropriate CANBUS connections with an insulated solder joint. Do not cut the CANBUS wires. 1. It is advisable to pick-up +POS and -NEG for powering the interface from a good ignition controlled supply. A good earth is absolutely essential. 2. The module only reads data, it does not write data to the CANBUS system. It has such a high internal impedance that it cannot affect the CANBUS. 3. While the power wires can be extended, it is not advisable to extend the CAN HIGH and CAN LOW leads. If there is a need to extend the signal lead, please ensure that it is run to its destination avoiding proximity to equipment that might give off pulses which could be picked up by this wire, such as ignition or heater fans, etc. 4. Just because a vehicle has a CANBUS system, it does not necessarily mean that that CANBUS carries the appropriate signal information. Vehicle Coverage (Note functions vary with vehicle):Please note: All connections are for guidance only and to the best of our knowledge; some Australian models may be different. We cannot be held responsible for changes made by the vehicle manufacturer, they only act as a guide for fitting.
