The Honda NSX high-end sports car is fitted with an upgraded sound system which utilises Bose amplifiers. These are built directly into moulded plastic housings with the speakers (active speakers) and are located in each door and a subwoofer located under the passenger footwell, which also drives a centre higher frequency driver at the rear of the cabin. These housings act as a specially tuned enclosure for the speaker, usually a woofer and give very good bass response.

We are able to provide service and repairs on several of these units, particularly when the amplifier fails. Often a noise is heard which sounds almost like a film projector along with a high pitched whine; or crackling sounds; or no sound at all! If you hear such noises, it is advisable to turn off the system immediately to avoid any possibility of further damage to the amplifier or the speaker. As the system is interlinked, faults in one speaker may also be heard through the others.

We recommend that you see you nearest Honda dealer to get the offending speaker module removed and have it sent to us for service. We provide a one year warranty on the amplifier section itself after a full repair and service. We may also me able to help in the repair and service of the head-unit.
